About

The Edinburgh TV Festival is the home of independent debate in TV. Each year, we offer more than 60 keynotes, debates, and masterclasses, plus scores of networking opportunities. We draw a crowd of over 2,000 industry professionals from across the globe who join us to learn, connect, and have fun.

Our editorial independence means we don’t have to compromise on the content we deliver to our delegates. Our programmes are created with a focus on quality and relevance, and our sessions are famous for being provocative, informative, and entertaining. No other festival does what we do on our scale, and we look forward to welcoming you in August.

Frequently Asked questions

Yes, the Festival will take place again this year at The EICC in Edinburgh. You can find more information to help you organise your trip on our Plan Your Visit page.

The Festival will begin on Tuesday 20 August at 2pm, and run through to 2pm on Friday 23 August.

Your Festival pass gives you access to the full programme of events including all talks, sessions and workshops, and official Festival parties.

Your pass also gives you access to the TV Festival Channel so you can catch up on anything you miss, revisit your favourite sessions, and check out previous Festival content going back to 2020. Your log in will be sent to you when the Festival ends.

Festival delegates may also have priority access to TV Festival events throughout the year.

All sessions will be available for catch-up for registered delegates only. A selection of sessions will be made available Free-To-Watch on Vimeo after the Festival once the exclusive window for delegates has passed. The only way to guarantee access to all sessions in 2024 is to buy a pass.

If your circumstances change, you will be able to transfer your pass for 2024 to a colleague, or to the following year for £75 + VAT.

If you are eligible for a Freelancer pass you can transfer to the following year free of charge.

Donations directly support the TV Foundation’s activity throughout the year, helping us to run our Programmes and support alumni. A £50 donation could provide a travel bursary, allowing one of our regional alumni to attend a job interview. A £100 donation could allow us to provide resilience training to our Network delegates, to better prepare them for managing a career as a freelancer. You can make a donation via our Donate page.
